These days, vitamins are very important to everyone. We usually get these essential vitamins and minerals through the food that we take in. something that you may not know is the density of vitimins in fruit. You may ask yourself, "Why do we need vitamins and minerals?" The answer is simple, because without them, it's just like we are eating without any purpose besides to fill in our stomach and of course the taste of the food its self.

Most of the vitamins are stored within our body and some in the bloodstream. There are two types of vitamins, the fat-soluble and water-soluble vitamins. These vitamins have to be replaced every day through multivitamin tablets or food supplements.

They are needed in the body's red blood cell formation. Foods that are rich in vitamin B are eggs, yogurt, beans, red meat, wheat, fish (or other sea foods), oats, white meat, peas, milk, and vegetables.

* Vitamin C aids in maintaining normal regeneration of cell tissues. This means that if you cut yourself and it bleeds, vitamin C helps in the healing process of the wound. Also, it aids in fighting off against infection or illnesses. Foods that have high vitamin C content are broccoli, sweet red peppers, kiwi fruit, cantaloupe, tomatoes, cabbages, citrus fruits, and strawberries.

* Vitamin D maintains and develops healthy bone structures. It is also essential in having strong and healthy teeth. Vitamin D is necessary in the absorption of calcium in the body. Great sources for this vitamin are liver, cereal, milk, and egg yolks.

* Vitamin E is one of the very important vitamins that we need to give to our body. It functions to maintain the cell tissues that are needed for a healthy functioning skin, liver, and eyes. It protects the lungs from any damages such as from air pollution and it is an essential part in red blood cell formation. In order to get vitamin E, your diet should contain foods such as seeds, wheat, vegetables, oats, egg yolks, sardines, and nuts.

* Vitamin K functions like a glue every time there is a wound. It aids in blood clot when you get a cut. This clotting process is necessary in order for the blood to solidify and prevent bleeding to occur. We can acquire vitamin K by taking in foods such as milk, soybean oil, vegetables, yogurt, and broccoli.
